Summary: xyz is a marketplace connecting customers with service providers. We facilitate the connection and payment — we are not the service provider. By using xyz, you agree to these terms.
xyz is a service marketplace platform operated as an SSM-registered sole proprietorship in Malaysia. We connect customers seeking services with independent service providers who offer their skills and expertise. xyz acts as an intermediary — we are not a party to the service agreement between customers and providers.
To use xyz, you must be at least 18 years of age, a resident of Malaysia or legally authorised to transact in Malaysia, and capable of forming a binding contract. By creating an account, you confirm you meet these requirements.
You must provide accurate, current information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@xyzmarketplace.my if you suspect unauthorised access.
Service providers must complete identity verification (IC submission) before offering services. SSM business registration verification is optional but recommended and displayed as a trust badge. xyz verifies documents in good faith but does not guarantee the accuracy of provider-submitted information. Customers should exercise their own judgement when selecting providers.
Customers create bookings by selecting a service, choosing a date and time, providing a service address, and confirming the booking. A booking becomes confirmed once payment is completed. Providers are expected to fulfil confirmed bookings as described in their service listing.
All payments are processed through Billplz, a licensed Malaysian payment gateway, via FPX (Financial Process Exchange) bank transfers. xyz does not store or process credit card or bank account information directly. The price shown at booking time is the final price — there are no hidden fees charged to customers. Transaction processing fees are absorbed by xyz.
xyz charges a service commission on each completed booking. The current commission rate is displayed in the app and may change with at least 30 days' written notice to providers. The commission is deducted from the service amount before provider payout.
Providers receive payment within 3 business days after a booking is marked as completed. Payouts are made via bank transfer to the bank account registered in the provider's profile. xyz is not responsible for delays caused by banking systems or incorrect bank details.

Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days through the original payment method. xyz reserves the right to adjust these policies in exceptional circumstances (e.g., emergencies, natural disasters).
If a customer is dissatisfied with a service, they may raise a dispute through the app within 48 hours of booking completion. xyz will review disputes and may issue a full refund, partial refund, or find in favour of the provider based on the evidence provided. xyz's decision on disputes is final.
Both customers and providers may leave reviews after a completed booking. Reviews must be honest, relevant to the service, and free of offensive language, personal attacks, or discriminatory content. xyz reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these standards.
Customers agree to provide accurate booking information (address, requirements, timing), be present or available at the scheduled time, treat providers with respect and professionalism, pay the agreed amount through the platform (no side payments), and report any safety concerns immediately.
Providers agree to maintain accurate service listings and pricing, fulfil confirmed bookings on time and as described, hold any licences or certifications required for their services, maintain appropriate insurance where applicable, treat customers with respect and professionalism, and comply with all applicable Malaysian laws and regulations.
Users may not circumvent the platform to arrange direct payments, create multiple accounts or impersonate others, harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users, post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings, use the platform for illegal activities, attempt to access other users' accounts or data, or reverse-engineer or scrape the platform.
All xyz branding, design, code, and content are owned by xyz. Users retain ownership of content they create (reviews, service descriptions, photos) but grant xyz a non-exclusive licence to display this content on the platform. Providers are responsible for ensuring they have the right to use any images or content in their listings.
xyz is a marketplace intermediary. We do not provide the services listed on the platform and are not liable for the quality, safety, or legality of services provided. xyz's total liability to any user is limited to the amount of fees paid by that user in the 12 months preceding the claim. xyz is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.
Users agree to indemnify xyz against any claims, damages, or expenses arising from their use of the platform, their violation of these terms, or their interaction with other users.
You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Delete Account. Deleted accounts enter a 30-day grace period during which you can reactivate by logging in. After 30 days, your account and personal data are permanently deleted (booking records are anonymised and retained for financial compliance).
xyz may update these terms with at least 30 days' notice for material changes. Notice will be provided via in-app notification and email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with changes, you may delete your account before they take effect.
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. Where applicable, the Consumer Protection Act 1999, Contracts Act 1950, and Personal Data Protection Act 2010 apply.
